Set your bearing.
Strategy & counsel, charted shoulder‑to‑shoulder — from a small island, for work that travels far.
A boutique Cook Islands legal and strategy practice with one stubborn belief: the best work happens alongside you, not at you. We listen first, then help you chart what comes next.
“To co-create purpose-led strategy and implement solutions in partnership with clients, so that together, we can positively impact our community.”
Akono'anga kaveinga mātūtū — we don't just advise, we walk alongside. Strategy, legal counsel, and solutions built with you.
Government agencies, State-Owned Enterprises, private sector, NGOs, and family offices — across the Cook Islands and Aotearoa.
Four bearings anchor
the work.
Each value lives in reo Māori Kuki 'Āirani — the language of the Cook Islands. Set on the compass, they become the four frigate birds we steer by — the seabird the old navigators followed home to land.
Meaningful relationships — built on trust, held with care, and carried across generations.
Every decision, structure, and recommendation starts from — and returns to — the people it serves.
Strength through clarity. We equip clients with the knowledge and tools to lead their own journey.
Creative thinking that honours tradition while opening new possibilities for Pacific enterprise.
Two practices, one
integrated course.
Tailored counsel at the meeting point of law, culture, and sustainable development — drawn from seventeen years in Cook Islands practice and beyond.
Legal Services
Trusted counsel across the areas that matter most to Cook Islands families, enterprises, and institutions.
Professional Consulting
From purpose and strategy through to policy, consultation, and delivery — we co-create and implement.
Our work is an extension
of who we are.
Kaveinga Mātūtū isn't only what we do — it's an expression of the life we've chosen, here, among our people.
In 2022 we came home — drawn back to Rarotonga by family: our own children, and Henry's parents.
We wanted our tamariki to grow up connected to their enua — their land, their peu tupuna — the customs of our ancestors, and their reo tupuna — the language they were born to. And we wanted to give something real back to the community that raised us.
So our days don't stop at the office door. They run through school boards and community groups, a food-security collective and a community garden, coaching, and quiet strategy work for the NGOs holding this place together. We're parents, neighbours, and volunteers as much as we are advisors.
That's the heart of how we work with you, too. We bring our whole selves — and we treat your purpose the way we treat our own: as something worth coming home for.
